JUST ANNOUNCED:

Artist Talk and Signing with Nathan Sawaya

Sunday, January 22 at noon

Nathan Sawaya, the artist who created the LEGO sculptures in The Art of the Brick® exhibition, will be at the museum to talk about his work and inspiration. Event includes: talk by the artist, followed by Q&A and book/poster signings (available for sale at the museum). Tickets: $15/members; $20/non-members, includes museum admission.

Special opportunity, limited to 30 people: $100 ticket includes: "Coffee with the creator of The Art of the Brick" from 10:30-11:30 a.m., breakfast buffet, ticket and VIP seating for 12 pm talk, and poster signed by the artist.


Workshops and Programs for Children and Families

The Morris Museum offers a variety of fun and educational workshops for children and families.  Stop by anytime during the session to participate in a workshop. Pre-registration is not required unless otherwise noted.  Adults must accompany children. For more information, please call 973.971.3718 or email programs@morrismuseum.org.

 

 

Super Science Saturdays

Saturdays Noon - 2:00 p.m.

Appropriate for ages 5 and older

Free for members; non-members: $3/child plus museum admission

Families are invited to stop by and participate in hands-on science workshops. Children will be introduced to the scientific method as they conduct experiments and observe the results.

Looking for something fun and educational to do with your young child? This program is for young children ages 2-5 and their caregivers. Activities include a mini gallery tour and an art project. Tours run 30 - 40 minutes and begin promptly at 10:00. Note: the museum opens early, exclusively for this program.

A spectacular collection of mechanical musical instruments and automata is featured in the permanent exhibition Musical Machines & Living Dolls from the Murtogh D. Guinness Collection. This program includes historical discussion and demonstrations of select, rare objects from the Guinness Collection.

Senior Fridays

Visit the Morris Museum for an early afternoon of art and conversation with professional museum educators. Pre-registration is not required.  This program is offered on the third Friday of every month at 1pm and is FREE with museum admission.
