| Sailing Off the Cape by John R. Grabach,
Watercolor on paper, ND, Morris Museum Permanent Collection. |
The Morris Museum presents quality exhibitions that are mission-based
and constituency driven. This programming includes permanent and
changing exhibitions in several galleries. The museum’s Education
Department develops thematic programs for presentation by professional
museum educators at gallery talks, exhibition programs, group tours
and workshops.
Philanthropic funding provides extraordinary exhibitions that
are presented in the museum’s galleries. The Morris Museum
offers traveling exhibitions, which are on display at the museum
for a designated period of time. Funding also helps maintain and
preserve a permanent collection as well as augment the collection.
Through the visual arts, the museum promotes dynamic connections
between artists and the community. Each year, museum exhibitions
include New Jersey artists.
Permanent and changing exhibitions curated by the Morris Museum
interpret the following collections: contemporary art; American
art; decorative arts from the 18th and 19th centuries; American
Indian history, art and crafts; material culture; and geological
specimens.
Numerous high visibility exhibition and media opportunities are
available. Inquiries should be addressed to the Advancement
staff: 973.971.3732 or 973.971.3705.
